Dallas Shri Ram Temple Echoed With Gajanan Maharaj Gajar on Appearance Day

Verses such as this really sums up a wonderful event, The Pragat Din Utsav of Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj.

An event full of devotion, love, praise, and cheer was commemorated on the auspicious day of February 12th at the Shri Ram Temple of Plano. The 145th Pragat Din Utsav for Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj was lovingly celebrated by all his devotees with utmost faith! An event covering all the main aspects of the pooja of Gajanan Maharaj, ended with an inspirational Palkhi Solha and Dhol Tasha played by the Shivam Dhol Tasha Mandal Dallas. Many devotees from all over the DFW Metroplex attended this spiritual event. To all those who attended this Utsav received countless blessings from the holy feet of Gajanan Maharaj. This Utsav provided hundreds of devotees to come together , performed pooja and bhajans, and strengthened their faith and devotion!

The Utsav started with a group Parayan Seva! The Parayan Seva is a group reading where all devotees, young and old can participate in reading 1 adhyay of their choice from the Gajanan Maharaj Pothi. This event is usually very calm as every devotee takes their time in reading their adhyay.

After the Group Parayan, the event continued with the Naam Japa Seva. In the Naam Japa Seva, each devotee sings their heart out for Shri Gajanan Maharaj in the forms of aartis and poojas. During this Naam Japa, the Gajanan Maharaj Bavanni and Chalisa were sung as well.
As part of the Naam Japa, all devotees chanted the holy names of Shri Ram, Sai Baba, and Shri Gajanan Maharaj. While the chanting was going on, the whole temple seemed to go under a trance as everyone was so focused. It truly was mesmerizing.

Following the Naam Japa, the wonderful Bhajan Seva took place. This Bhajan Seva included lyrical pieces from kid devotees in their harmonious voice performing for Shri Gajanan Maharaj. This event really showed the dedication and devotion that all the kids had to perform the bhajans for Gajanan Maharaj. During the Bhajans, there was also a wonderful Mrudang and Harmonium playing. All in all, this part of the Pragat Din Utsav was truly mesmerizing. Kids as young as 3-4 years old singing the bhajans must have made Gajanan Maharaj’s Heart warm!

The Bhajan Seva led to one of the most anticipated and awaited events of the day! The Palkhi Solha! By now, everyone was ready to walk around the temple with the Dhol Tasha loudly chanting Gajanan Maharaj’s name! Young and old, every devotee took part and gave it their all for Shri Gajanan Maharaj! Concluding the eventful and exciting dhol tasha, all excitement was concluded with this poem.

Hai Jaigosh bhavan me, mukh me bhajan hai mauli ke!

Aasha, Bhakti aur nayan, pag pag chale hai sangh Palkhi ke!

taal ,mrudang aur jai gajanan ka jallosh bhi hai mitro ,

bade chote sabhi sajan, chale hai Darshan lete mauli ke!!

|\||The time for Aarti and Mahaprasad came. After a wonderful aarti, the Pragat Din Utsav concluded with a delicious prasadam.

The day of the pragat din was one to remember, as we saw all devotees truly experience the blessings and teachings of Gajanan Maharaj in effect. From reading adhyays to singing bhajans, and to walking in the palkhi sohla with everyone, every small kid will now receive a lifetime of blessings just because of that. It really is nice seeing all the kids offer various sevas to Gajanan Maharaj. One whole day filled with different offerings and sevas seemed to lift everyone’s mood. Then imagine what many more days like this will do to people. The importance and grace of the Pragat Din is different from everything else. Let us all come together many more times in the future.

Elon Musk’s Big Move Into The Future Of EV’s

Elon Musk, making headlines again! In a post on twitter just recently, Mr. Musk announced that Tesla will be opening its massive supercharger network to all other Electric Vehicles. As of now, there have been these Tesla electric “superchargers”, but they have only been accessible by Tesla Drivers. To propose a more convenient alternative for EV’s(Electric Vehicles), Tesla plans to make this supercharger available to ALL electric drivers.

Musk stated in a tweet on twitter, “We created our own connector, as there was no standard back then and Tesla was only a maker of long range electric cars. It’s one fairly slim connector for both low and high power charging. That said, we’re making our supercharger network open to other EV’s later this year.”

This move is very important and valuable for a number of reasons. Firstly, it will reduce one of the biggest problems faced by EV drivers; range anxiety. In simpler terms, this new supercharger network will assure EV drivers that they don’t need to worry about losing their battery in the middle of a drive. Thanks to Mr. Musk, drivers can now easily charge their cars on long road trips knowing that there are electric chargers on the way. By allowing and introducing this network of chargers to other EV’s, more people will lean towards switching to an Electric-powered car.

Adding on to that, this is a big hint that Tesla & Elon Musk want to promote the mass production and buying of more Ev’s. By supporting other lower end electric vehicle companies, Tesla indicates that they want to promote the future of this way of transportation all together.

However, there are still many questions that need to be answered about how this will work in practice. Will Tesla charge a fee for non-Tesla EVs to use the Superchargers? Will there be long lines and wait times for charging, now that the network is open to a wider range of vehicles? How will Tesla ensure that its own customers are still able to access the Superchargers when they need them?

Despite these unanswered questions, the news has been met with excitement and enthusiasm from EV owners and enthusiasts alike. As the world continues to move towards a more sustainable, electric future, Elon Musk and Tesla are leading the way in making that future a reality. I believe that this move will surely advocate for the higher production and purchase of Electric vehicles. In my eyes, this should be a revolutionary step forward into the future.

TikTok to be banned on Texas state devices

Gov. Greg Abbott banned TikTok from state-owned devices .
There is finally a non biased measures across the country to stop impact of an app that is hurting national security as it raises deep questions about its impact on young users.

South Dakota, Maryland, South Carolina and Nebraska are among states that have prohibited the app on government devices. Indiana, meanwhile, has sued TikTok not only over its data exploitation but because it exposes children to sexual content. The U.S. military blocked access in 2020 and advised all military personnel to delete the app from their smartphones.

“The threat of the Chinese Communist Party to infiltrate the United States continues to grow on multiple fronts,” Abbott wrote to the heads of state agencies. “While the federal government holds the ultimate responsibility for foreign policy issues, the state also has the responsibility and opportunity to protect itself.”
Abbott also wrote to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dade Phelan, urging them to pass legislation to “safeguard our state against threats like TikTok,” including by codifying his directive to state agencies and making similar regulations for local governments.

The governor demanded state agencies to “strictly” enforce the ban on their officers and employees from downloading or using TikTok on any government-issued cellphones, laptops, tablets and other devices capable of Internet connectivity. He stated they may grant exceptions for law-enforcement investigations and other legitimate uses.
Abbott also ordered the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Department of Information Resources to develop a model plan for state agencies to address vulnerabilities from the use of TikTok on personal devices by Jan. 15, and for agencies to implement their own policies by Feb. 15.

Datta Jayanti Utsav Celebrated in Dallas Gajanan Maharaj Temple

Lord Dattatreya is believed to be an incarnation of the Holy Trinity – Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Mahesh (Shiva). Lord Dattatreya was born to Sage Atri and his righteous wife, Devi Anasuya, and is enriched with three heads and six arms.

Datta Jayanti is celebrated across the USA in several temples of Gajanan Maharaj in Texas (Dallas,Houston), Illinois(Chicago), New Jersey, and California. These temples are dedicated to Gajanan Mauli, and special Pujas and Utsav’s are performed as the celebration of lord Dattatreya Jayanti on the day he was believed to have been born.

Several devotees took part in the Datta Jayanti celebration, conducted by the Dallas – Gajanan Maharaj America Devotees Parivar, and visited the Shri Ram Mandir temple in Plano, Texas.

Devotees Took part in Shringar, Abhishek & Shri Gajanan Vijay Parayan, Bhajan, Arti, and Mahaprasad for all the devotees.

On this occasion Keshav Ji Maharaj Spoke about significance of Datta Jayati and how it is mentioned in Puranas.

Keshav Ji Maharaj said according to Puranas,

Anasūûyāâ, the wife of Sage Atri, was well known for Her chastity (pativratāâ). As a result, she had acquired tremendous power, due to which Shri Indra and other deities felt threatened. So, they went to Shri Brahmāâ, Shri Vishnu and Shri Mahesh (Shiva) and told Their agony. The trinity of Deities decided to test Anasuya’s chastity.

Once, when Her husband Sage Atri had gone out, the trinity of Deities disguised as guests and approached Anasuya asking for alms. She requested Them to wait till Sage Atri returned; but They insisted on being served food immediately. They further said, ‘we have heard that you serve guests food as per their wishes in your hermitage; that is why, we have come here.’ Anasuya agreed to serve Them food as per their wishes. The Deities laid down a condition that She should serve Them in nude. Baffled by this, she thought, ‘my mind is pure, the prowess of my husband’s penance will save me.’ She then contemplated upon her husband and got a thought, ‘these guests are my children.’ The trinity of Deities immediately turned into three little crying babies! She took Them in Her arms and fed Them Her breast milk.

Just then, Sage Atri returned, and She narrated everything to Him. He recognized the true form of the babies and offered obeisance to Them. The trinity of Deities was appeased, and They appeared in front of Sage Atri and Anasuya and told Them to ask for a boon. Sage Atri and Anasuya wanted the babies to be with them. The Deities blessed the couple and left for Their abodes.

It was blissful event and there was everyone’s participation.Kids also participated in Bhajan and serving Mahaprasad .

Children are getting sick…but it’s not Covid!

We just finished the first week of December, and we still don’t see any less people getting sick. This year the US was hit hard with common colds, respiratory infections, and the infamous CoronaVirus. But children are the real victims here, as now the sickness rates are higher than before the pandemic.

“We are continuing to see a very high number of sick children with various respiratory problems,” said Dr. Stan Spinner, vice president and chief medical officer of Texas Children’s Pediatrics and Texas Children’s Urgent Care in Houston. “It was already pretty high before school started, but it has clearly gotten worse and faster than it typically takes.”

However, it may not just be a bad season that kids are getting sick, one heavy factor that has influenced the sickness rates is the mask usage. As we rolled into our second year of post-corona schooling, many students arrived at school without a mask. Mandates have gone down for masks in school, but some states in America are starting to change that.

Now, if the viruses are not Covid, what are they? Believe it or not, many hospitals say that most kids come with a runny nose or strep throat! During the winter, children are most likely to get strep, as the temperatures start to drop. Flu and RSV rates have increased by 11% percent since last year, causing hospitals to overflow. The rollercoaster of sickness has gotten to an extreme, and all parents want now is to just have a flu-free holiday.

Hospitals in Kansas and Missouri are now reaching capacity because of the everlasting influenza. New York officials have now urged citizens to wear masks indoors. The USA has succumbed to sickness this year. Doctors have also asked everyone to practice indoor safety precautions in order to prevent many of the colds that are catching people. One more problem repeatedly occurring is when children come to school WITH THE FLU. School nurses encourage everyone to stay home even when they are slightly sick, in order to protect the rest of the students.

“My mom is also here, she just got over the flu. My sister-in-law just got over the flu. My brother has three kids and they had flu, RSV and COVID,” said a local mother. Health officials state that the only way to prevent diseases and the influenza is to go back to covid precautions. And if this means we have to go back to online schooling, we certainly will.

The health of our country is not worth sacrificing millions of lives.
