Tejal Desai has been recently appointed as Dean at the Brown School of Engineering.
Tejal Desai is a professor that specializes in Bioengineering and Therapeutic Services. She is also a very accomplished biomedical engineer! Tejal loves to work with people and believes that the key to success is through relationships.
As a dean, Tejal Desai will be responsible for retention, appointment and recruitment of academic teachers/professionals, and staff for the School of Engineering. Needing to also create plans for the future and for the betterment of the school.
Ms. Desai mentioned that she was very forward to leading a program that shaped her entire career.
“Brown engineers tend to be people with a very particular drive to improve the world around them,” she said. “Students come to Brown because they want to make a positive impact on society and they see engineering as a powerful way to do that.”-remarked Tejal
She seems to know what exactly she wants to achieve and establish at her school.
Tejal will began her journey of Dean exactly on September 1, 2022.
It is a great feeling to know that Indians Americans are creating a presence throughout the US, and making a name for themselves through the workforce industry.
