As we see it right before our eyes, the development of USA women’s cricket is happening step by step, match to match. 4 teams of 14 players, picked from the best of the best, are battling it out in the Moosa Cricket Stadium, enduring the blistering heat of Pearland, Texas.
Choosing 56 cricketers, The USA Cricket Women’s Selection Panel picked out the best of the best. Almost 60 cricketers have been recognized based on their fitness, attitude, performance, and talent. They will now go on to represent their Regional Teams and compete for places at the Sistar Mortgage Women’s National Championship this year.
Women and Girls Coordinator for USA Cricket Julie Abbott stated, “We are delighted to be able to bring the Regionals together at the same time to Moosa Stadium over what will be a great week of cricket action for the best women and girls across the United States. The Sistar Mortgage Women’s Regionals will showcase competitive matches between top players in the USA representing their geographical regions, putting that extra bit of intensity and competition on all matches. We are looking forward to advancing the best players to the Nationals for the new Head Coach, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, to work with the team leading into the ICC T20 World Cup Global Qualifier scheduled for September.”
The teams that are playing in the Sistar Mortgage Women’s National Championship 2022.
