The upcoming season three of Major League Cricket (MLC) is set to commence on June 13, following the success of the first two editions of the tournament. MI New York and Washington Freedom emerged as champions in the inaugural 2023 and 2024 seasons, respectively, with Seattle Orcas and San Francisco Unicorns finishing as runners-up.
Major League Cricket has experienced rapid growth in the United States, attracting both international stars and homegrown talent. J Arunkumar has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Major League Cricket team Golden State Grizzlies for the upcoming season. The 2025 edition of MLC will feature six franchises – Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, and Washington Freedom – competing for the prestigious title. The matches in the MLC 2025 season will be played in a T20 format, with a total of 30 league stage matches leading up to the playoffs.
The tournament is scheduled to run from June 13 to July 14 and will be hosted at three stadiums: Oakland Coliseum in California, Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, and Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida.
Each franchise will be supported by a mix of foreign stars and domestic players, with notable players such as Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Corey Anderson, Harmeet Singh, and Steven Smith set to take the field.
